About Susan

Hi Neighbors,                                                                                                                           I’m Susan, the Founder of Pilates on High.  As you can see, I am no ballerina.  I spent most of my youth couch-dwelling with my nose buried in a book.
After years of perceived failures in diet and exercise and many pounds gained, lost, and found again, I discovered Pilates.  It changed my life.  Pilates taught me to listen to my body and meditate while moving.  I want to bring this sense of peace and accomplishment to everyone.
Let's be honest.  At this point in life, it isn't about weight anymore.  It's about mental and physical health and functional movement in all its forms.  
A consistent Pilates practice helps me care for my whole body and puts me in the best shape possible to take on all other modalities of exercise, sports, or pain-free daily movement.  It. Just. Does.
My in-studio services are quiet, friendly, non-judgemental, superbly clean (not a big box gym), and tailored to your needs and goals.  I will meet you where you are in your abilities.
